Category 1: Getting Started
We specialize in men's casual wear, activewear, and team uniforms. That is our focus, and it is what we do best.
Our core product categories are custom polo shirts and corporate uniforms, custom hoodies, sweatshirts and streetwear basics, and custom activewear and gym wear including training tees, joggers, compression wear, and zip-up hoodies.
We also handle supporting categories when our clients need a complete range: casual pants and shorts, casual shirts, light jackets such as coach jackets and windbreakers, and caps and accessories.
We do not manufacture women's fashion, formal suits, leather goods, or swimwear. We believe being a specialist in men's casual wear and activewear allows us to deliver better quality and faster turnaround than factories that claim to make everything.
For custom cut-and-sew orders (new designs from scratch), our MOQ is 50 pieces per style per color. This is the minimum quantity where custom fabric sourcing, pattern cutting, and production setup become economically viable.
If you need fewer than 50 pieces, we have an alternative: we can use our existing blank garments (stock fabric) and add your logo via printing or embroidery, plus custom woven labels and hang tags. There is no minimum quantity for this option.
For returning clients reordering existing styles, the MOQ drops to 30 pieces per style per color, because we already have your patterns and fabric records on file.

Want an exact quote for your quantity? Contact us and we will respond within 24 hours.
Yes, absolutely. Most of our clients do not start with a tech pack. Many start with just a reference photo, a sketch, or even a written description of what they want.
Here is how we work with clients who do not have technical documents: you share your idea in whatever form you have (a photo of a garment you like, a screenshot from Instagram, a rough drawing, or a written description). We ask clarifying questions about fabric preference, fit, decoration details, and sizing. Then our team develops the technical specifications and creates a sample based on your input.
If you do have a tech pack, that is great and speeds things up. But it is absolutely not required to get started.
To give you an accurate quote, we need the following information. Not all of these are required upfront, but the more you share, the more precise our quote will be:
- Product type: what garment (polo, hoodie, joggers, t-shirt, etc.)
- Reference images or tech pack: a photo, sketch, or technical document showing the design
- Fabric preference: composition (cotton, polyester, blend), weight (GSM), and any special requirements (moisture-wicking, anti-pilling, organic)
- Decoration details: print type (screen print, DTG, sublimation), embroidery, number of colors, placement locations
- Quantity: how many pieces per style per color
- Target price: if you have a budget per unit, sharing it helps us recommend the right fabric and construction to hit your number
- Delivery timeline: when you need the goods
Do not worry if you cannot answer all of these right away. Send us what you have and we will guide you through the rest. We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours.
Custom clothing pricing depends on fabric type and weight, garment construction complexity, decoration method (print, embroidery, labels), and order quantity. Instead of giving you a vague range, here is a concrete example using one of our most popular products: a 300gsm cotton printed hoodie.
Quantity: 50 pieces
Unit Price (USD): $12–$16
Notes: Entry level. Good for a first test order.
Quantity: 100 pieces
Unit Price (USD): $10–$13
Notes: The sweet spot for most first-time clients.
Quantity: 300 pieces
Unit Price (USD): $8–$11
Notes: Optimal range. Economies of scale kick in.
Quantity: 500+ pieces
Unit Price (USD): $7–$9
Notes: Maximum value for proven products.
Simpler products (basic t-shirts, standard polo shirts) cost less. More complex items (multi-panel joggers, sublimation-printed jackets) cost more. The best way to get your actual number is to send us your specific requirements and we will quote within 24 hours.
Category 2: Sampling & Customization
Yes, and we strongly recommend it. We never advise clients to go straight to bulk production without approving a physical sample first.
We make a pre-production sample using your exact specifications: your chosen fabric, your color, your print or embroidery, and your sizing. The sample fee is $50–$150 depending on the complexity of the garment, and this fee is credited toward your bulk order. So if you proceed to production, the sample is effectively free.
We ship your sample via DHL or FedEx at our expense. You do not pay for delivery.
Standard sample production takes 5–7 working days after we receive your sample fee and confirm all specifications.
If you need it faster, rush sampling is available at a 30–50% surcharge, which brings the timeline down to 3–5 working days.
After the sample is made, shipping via DHL or FedEx typically takes 3–7 days depending on your country. So from payment to sample in your hands: roughly 8–14 days standard, or 6–12 days with rush service.
We do. Sample shipping is on us. We ship via DHL or FedEx international express and cover the full cost.
This applies to your first sample for each style. If revisions require a second sample, we cover that shipping too.
Nearly everything about your garment can be customized. Here is the full scope:
Fabric: Choose composition (100% cotton, polyester, cotton-poly blends, performance fabrics), weight in GSM, hand feel, stretch level, and finish. We recommend the best fabric for your product type and budget. Free fabric swatches available on request.
Color: Pantone color matching for precise brand consistency. Custom-dyed fabrics available. Standard colors from our stock fabric range ship faster.
Pattern and cut: We develop new patterns from your tech pack, reference garment, or even a reference photo. Custom fit, silhouette, and sizing adjustments are standard.
Sizing: Custom size charts from S to 3XL and beyond. We adjust sizing for your target market. For example, Australian sizing runs larger than Asian sizing, and we account for that.
Printing: Screen printing (up to 8 colors), DTG (digital direct-to-garment for photo-quality prints), heat transfer, and all-over sublimation printing.
Embroidery: Flat embroidery, 3D puff embroidery, and applique. We digitize your logo in-house.
Labels and tags: Custom woven main labels, size labels, care labels, and hang tags. All designed to match your brand identity.
Packaging: Individual poly bags (standard), branded tissue paper, custom mailer bags, or retail-ready box packaging. Custom packaging is quoted separately.
Yes. We do Pantone color matching for both fabric dyeing and print colors. Share your Pantone number (for example, Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue) and we will match it precisely.
For fabric colors: if your Pantone shade matches one of our stock fabric colors, production starts immediately. If it requires a custom dye run, add approximately 7–10 days to the timeline and the MOQ is 50 pieces minimum.
For print colors: Pantone matching is standard on all screen print orders at no extra cost.
Category 3: Production & Quality
For orders of 50–200 pieces: 10–15 working days after sample approval and deposit payment.
For orders of 200–500 pieces: 15–20 working days.
These timelines assume standard fabrics that are readily available in our supply cluster. Specialty fabrics that need to be custom-ordered may add 7–15 days before production can begin.
Other factors that affect production time: printing complexity (all-over sublimation adds 2–5 days), number of SKUs (more size and color combinations means more cutting and sorting time), and factory seasonality (March through May and September through November are peak months, and lead times may extend 30–50%).
We provide a clear production schedule with milestones before you pay the deposit. If any delay risk appears during production, we flag it immediately.
Our quality control runs through every stage of production, not just at the end.
Fabric inspection: We check fabric quality, color consistency, and weight when it arrives from the supplier, before cutting begins.
In-line inspection: During sewing, our QC team checks stitching quality, seam strength, and construction accuracy on a random-pull basis.
Decoration check: After printing or embroidery, we inspect alignment, color accuracy, and adhesion quality. For screen prints, we check wash durability.
Final inspection: Every completed piece goes through a final QC check following AQL 2.5 standard, the same sampling inspection level used by major international brands. We check fabric quality, stitching, print and embroidery detail, sizing accuracy (tolerance within plus or minus 1cm on major measurement points), label placement, and overall finishing.
Documentation: We photograph the entire QC process and send you an inspection report with photos for approval before packing.
Yes, we fully support and welcome third-party inspections. If you want to arrange an inspection through SGS, QIMA, Bureau Veritas, or any other agency, we will make our production facility fully available and cooperate with the inspector.
Many of our clients, especially those ordering for the first time, choose to arrange a pre-shipment inspection for peace of mind. We see this as a sign of a professional buyer, not as distrust. The inspection cost is typically borne by the client and arranged directly with the inspection agency.
If you receive goods with quality issues, here is exactly what happens:
Step 1: You report the issue with photos and a description. We respond within 24 hours.
Step 2: We investigate the root cause internally (fabric defect, sewing error, print issue, packing damage, or shipping damage).
Step 3: We propose a solution within 48 hours. Depending on the severity, this could be a partial refund, replacement production for the defective pieces, a credit toward your next order, or full remake and re-shipment in rare cases of major systematic defects.
We document every quality issue and its resolution, and we track root causes to prevent recurrence. Honest handling of problems is more important to us than pretending they never happen. Every manufacturer has occasional issues. What matters is how they respond.
Yes, we send progress updates with photos every 3–5 days throughout the production process. You will receive photos of fabric arrival, cut panels, sewing floor progress, print or embroidery close-ups, and finished pieces before packing.
You should never feel in the dark about where your order stands. If you want more frequent updates or have specific concerns you want us to photograph, just let us know and we will accommodate.
Category 4: Shipping & Logistics
We offer three shipping methods to suit different timelines and budgets:
Method: International Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS)
Transit Time: 3–7 days
Best For: Urgent orders, small shipments under 100kg
Method: Air Freight
Transit Time: 5–10 days
Best For: Medium-sized orders, time-sensitive deadlines
Method: Sea Freight
Transit Time: 15–35 days
Best For: Large orders where cost savings matter most
For most first orders of 50–200 pieces, international express or air freight is the practical choice. Sea freight becomes cost-effective at larger volumes. We advise on the best option based on your order size, destination, and deadline.
We support three trade terms:
FOB Guangzhou/Shenzhen: We handle everything up to the port of departure. You arrange and pay for international shipping, customs clearance, and local delivery. This gives you the most control over your logistics costs.
CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight): We arrange and pay for shipping to your destination port. You handle customs clearance and local delivery from the port.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Full door-to-door service. We handle everything including international shipping, customs clearance, duties, and delivery to your address. This is the simplest option if you want zero logistics headaches.
Most first-time buyers choose DDP for simplicity. Experienced importers often prefer FOB for cost control. We are happy to quote all three so you can compare.
Here are typical transit times from Guangzhou to our main markets:
Destination: Australia
Express (DHL/FedEx): 3–5 days
Air Freight: 5–7 days
Sea Freight: 15–20 days
Destination: UAE / Saudi Arabia
Express (DHL/FedEx): 3–5 days
Air Freight: 5–7 days
Sea Freight: 18–25 days
Destination: United Kingdom
Express (DHL/FedEx): 4–7 days
Air Freight: 7–10 days
Sea Freight: 25–35 days
Destination: Southeast Asia
Express (DHL/FedEx): 2–4 days
Air Freight: 3–5 days
Sea Freight: 7–15 days
Destination: United States
Express (DHL/FedEx): 4–7 days
Air Freight: 7–10 days
Sea Freight: 20–30 days
These are typical transit times and do not include customs clearance processing, which varies by country. We provide tracking numbers for all shipments so you can monitor delivery in real time.
Every shipment includes the following documentation:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list (with breakdown by style, color, size, and carton)
- Tracking number and shipping confirmation
- Bill of lading (for sea freight) or airway bill (for air freight)
- Certificate of origin (when needed for tariff benefits, such as ChAFTA for Australian buyers)
- QC inspection photos and report
If your country requires additional import documentation (such as SASO certificates for Saudi Arabia or specific labeling declarations), let us know during the quotation stage and we will include it.
Category 5: Payment & Trust
Our standard payment terms are 50% deposit to begin production, and 50% balance before shipping. This is the industry standard for custom garment manufacturing and protects both sides: you do not pay in full until the goods are inspected and confirmed, and we do not ship without the balance.
Sample orders: Sample fee ($50–$150 per style) paid in full before sample production begins. Credited to your bulk order.
Bulk orders: 50% deposit to start production. 50% balance after you approve QC photos, before we ship.
Payment methods: Bank transfer (T/T), PayPal, and Western Union. We will provide our bank details on the invoice.
For returning clients with an established relationship, we may discuss adjusted payment terms on a case-by-case basis.
Yes. Guangzhou Goodley Garments Co., Ltd. (广州古德利服饰有限公司) is a registered company with the Guangzhou Administration for Market Regulation. We have been in continuous operation since 2018.
You can verify our registration independently through these public platforms:
- Tianyancha (www.tianyancha.com) — search "广州古德利服饰有限公司"
- Qichacha (www.qcc.com) — search the same company name
These are independent, publicly accessible business registries operated by third parties. They will show our registered capital, legal representative, date of establishment, and business scope.
Yes to both. We welcome in-person factory visits at our production base in Zhongshan Shaxi. Our Guangzhou office in Baiyun District is 15 minutes from Baiyun International Airport, and we can arrange transportation to the factory.
If traveling to China is not practical, we offer live video factory tours via WhatsApp, WeChat, or Zoom. We will walk you through the production floor, fabric storage, cutting area, sewing lines, QC station, and packing area so you can see the operation firsthand.
Contact us to schedule either option at a time that works for you.
Here is an honest overview of our current certification status:
- Business Registration: Held — Registered with Guangzhou Market Regulation Bureau. Verifiable on Tianyancha.
- Export License: Held — Full import/export operating rights.
- OEKO-TEX (fabric level): Available on request — We source from OEKO-TEX certified fabric suppliers when required.
- SGS / Intertek Testing: Available per order — Third-party testing can be arranged on any order. Cost quoted separately.
- ISO 9001 / BSCI / GOTS: In progress — Planned as our business scales. Not yet obtained.
We believe honesty about what we have and what we do not have is more trustworthy than vague claims. If your order requires a specific certification or test report, tell us during the quotation stage and we will confirm whether and how we can meet that requirement.
Fair question. Here is how you can verify:
Physical factory: Our production base is in Zhongshan Shaxi, one of China's largest casual menswear manufacturing clusters. We offer live video factory tours and welcome in-person visits.
Production transparency: We send production progress photos every 3–5 days during bulk orders, showing fabric, cutting, sewing, and finishing at our facility.
Third-party access: We welcome SGS, QIMA, or any third-party inspector you choose to visit our production site.
Business registration: Our registration is publicly verifiable on Tianyancha and Qichacha.
To be transparent: we are best described as a manufacturer with integrated sourcing services. We have deep, long-term relationships with specific factories in the Shaxi cluster, are embedded in the production region, and combine production capability with full-service project management. We are not a pure trading company that shops around for the cheapest factory. We are not a single standalone factory either. We are the type of partner that gives you factory-level quality control with trading-company-level communication and service.
Category 6: Market-Specific Questions
Yes, we ship to Australia regularly and it is one of our primary markets.
There is a significant tariff advantage: under the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA), most garment categories qualify for zero import duty when shipped from China with a valid Certificate of Origin. We provide ChAFTA Certificates of Origin as part of our standard documentation for Australian orders.
We also ensure labeling compliance with AS/NZS standards (fiber content, country of origin, care instructions) so your products clear Australian customs smoothly. Transit time from Guangzhou to Australia is typically 15–20 days by sea freight or 3–5 days by express courier.
Yes. We have experience exporting to the Middle East and understand the requirements. For Saudi Arabia, certain product categories require SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization) certification. For men's casual wear, the enforcement is relatively relaxed compared to children's clothing or electrical goods, but we take compliance seriously.
We can provide product labeling in Arabic and English (bilingual labels), ensure fabric testing meets regional safety requirements, and prepare documentation that supports your SASO application process if required. If your specific product category needs a formal SASO certificate, let us know at the quotation stage and we will advise on the process and any additional testing costs.
Yes. UK REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) sets restrictions on certain chemicals in products sold in the UK market. We source fabrics from suppliers who comply with REACH-equivalent chemical restrictions, and we can provide fabric test reports on request.
If your UK brand or retailer requires specific REACH compliance documentation, we can arrange SGS or Intertek testing on your fabric and finished garments to generate the required certificates. Testing costs are quoted per order and typically take 5–7 working days.
For clients selling into both the UK and EU, we ensure fabrics meet the stricter of the two regulatory frameworks.
Yes. We produce bilingual labels (Arabic and English) for our Middle East clients as a standard service. This includes woven main labels, care labels with Arabic washing instructions, size labels, and hang tags.
If you need labels in other languages (French for North Africa, Bahasa for Indonesia/Malaysia, etc.), we can accommodate that as well. Simply provide the translated text or let us know the target market, and we will format the labels accordingly.
Label production typically takes 5–7 days and runs in parallel with garment production, so it does not add extra time to your order.
