Most brands don’t launch with shorts. They start with tees or hoodies, build an audience, then add shorts when summer rolls around. Sweat shorts in French terry are the easiest entry. Chino shorts for the brands going after a cleaner look. We keep your fabric and fit specs from previous orders so the shorts match the rest of your line.

Staff shorts for beach resorts, outdoor venues, tropical hospitality. Quick-dry blends that handle humidity. Elastic waist with internal drawstring for comfort during long shifts. These orders repeat every year, same spec, same Pantone.

Team shorts for clubs, charity runs, company outings. Usually simple: one color, one logo, elastic waist. Fast to produce because the construction is straightforward and the artwork is finalized before the client reaches out.

What you can customize on every pair
Fewer pattern pieces than pants. Faster to produce. Still plenty to decide.
Fabric
Cotton twill for chinos. French terry for sweat shorts. Quick-dry nylon blend for board shorts and hybrids. Stretch cotton for anything that needs to move. Weight ranges from 120gsm (lightweight nylon) to 300gsm (heavyweight French terry). Tell us the style and we'll narrow the fabric options down.
Color
Pantone matching. Garment-dyed finishes for that washed, broken-in look. Stock twill colors ship faster. Heather tones available in French terry and CVC blends.
Inseam & fit
This is the spec that defines the product. 5" sits well above the knee. 7" hits mid-thigh on most builds. 9" reaches the knee. We can do any inseam you want. Fit options: slim, regular, relaxed. Some clients order the same short in two inseam lengths (a 7" and a 9") and sell them as separate SKUs.
Waistband & closure
Belt loops with zip fly. Full elastic with drawstring. Elastic back with flat front (the hybrid that hotels love). Button fly for a vintage look. Branded drawstring tips, metal aglets, plastic cord ends. Your pick.
Pockets
Front slash, front on-seam, back welt with or without button. Cargo pockets add volume. Hidden zip pockets for board shorts and travel-oriented styles. A coin pocket or a key loop is a small detail that customers notice.
Logo & decoration
Screen print works better on shorts than on pants. Sweat shorts especially. Leg print, back pocket, waistband graphic. Embroidery for small logos. Custom hardware (drawstring tips, snap buttons, eyelets) for subtle branding. Woven patches on the waistband or back pocket.
Labels & tags
Woven main label, care label, hang tag. Leather or jacron waistband patch. Heat-transfer labels for styles where a woven tag sits against skin (board shorts, sweat shorts).
Packaging
Individual poly bag with size sticker. Sorted by size, color, and inseam into export cartons. Branded packaging available.
Fabric availability
Stock fabrics in 1-3 days. Custom blends and garment-dyed rolls in 7-15 days.
Cotton twill
The chino short fabric. 180-240gsm. Lighter than the twill we use for pants because nobody wants stiff heavy shorts in July. Takes garment dye well for washed finishes.
French terry
Loopback interior, soft hand feel. 240-300gsm. This is what sweat shorts are made from. Not fleece. Fleece is too warm for shorts. French terry breathes, drapes right, and doesn't make your legs sweat. The streetwear brands that sell ten thousand pairs a summer all use French terry.
Stretch cotton
98% cotton, 2% spandex. 200-240gsm twill. For chino shorts and slim-fit styles where comfort matters. The stretch costs more. On shorts, where the fabric yardage per piece is small, the per-unit price difference is less painful than on pants.
Quick-dry nylon blend
Nylon or nylon-polyester with mechanical stretch. 120-160gsm. Fast-drying, packable, lightweight. Board shorts and hybrid shorts. No metal hardware on these (eyelets, drawstring tips, buttons all need to be plastic or coated to avoid rust and skin marks in water).

Decoration methods
Shorts take more visible branding than pants. The surface area is smaller, so every detail counts more.
Screen print
Works better on shorts than most people expect. Leg prints on sweat shorts are big right now. Back pocket graphics. Waistband interior prints that only show when the waist is folded over. Water-based ink for soft hand feel. Discharge on dark French terry.
Embroidery
Small chest-level equivalent: a logo on the left leg or back pocket. Flat embroidery. 3D puff doesn't work on lightweight shorts fabrics. Keep it simple and under 5,000 stitches.
Custom hardware
Branded drawstring tips are the easiest win on shorts. Metal aglets, engraved cord ends, custom snap buttons on cargo flaps. For board shorts, everything needs to be non-metal (plastic or coated) so it won't rust or leave marks.
Woven patches & labels
Leather or jacron waistband patch. Woven brand label on the back pocket or side seam. Same role as on pants: small touches that signal a real brand.

50% deposit, then 10-15 working days for orders under 1,000 pieces. Photos before packing.

Balance, then we ship. DHL/FedEx/UPS in 3-7 days. Air and sea freight for bigger orders.
