How It Works
How Your Custom Menswear Order Moves Forward
Most of our clients have never ordered custom clothing from a manufacturer before. That’s fine. This page walks you through how the production process works, how long each stage takes (with actual numbers), and what you can and can’t customize.

01 Requirements & Product Development
Send us your reference images, target quantity, size range, logo files, and delivery country. A tech pack helps but isn’t required. We go through everything, flag anything that’s missing or won’t work, and come back to you with a product plan and a quote. Usually within a day.

Fabric & Pattern Development
This is the step that makes or breaks the final product. We recommend fabric based on what the garment needs to do: a 160gsm cotton jersey for a summer tee is a completely different call from a 300gsm fleece for a winter hoodie. Weight, stretch, hand feel, how it behaves after washing. We walk you through the options and narrow it down before moving to pattern and construction details.

Sampling & Approval
We make a pre-production sample and ship it to you by express. Takes 5 to 7 working days. Check the fit, the fabric, the color, the stitching, any print or embroidery detail. If anything needs adjusting, we revise and send an updated sample. Bulk production starts only after you approve.

Bulk Production & Quality Checks
After you approve the sample and the 50% deposit clears, production begins. Lead time runs 10 to 15 working days for orders under 1,000 pieces, and 15 to 20 working days for 1,000 to 5,000 pieces. During production we check fabric weight, color consistency, measurements, logo placement, and stitch quality. If something doesn’t match the approved sample, we catch it on the production floor, not after your shipment arrives.

Shipping & Delivery
The remaining 50% is due before shipment. We arrange courier, air, or sea freight under FOB Guangzhou or Shenzhen, CIF, or DDP terms, depending on what works for you. The same person who handled your order from the start follows it through to delivery.

How long does it actually take?
A first order of 100 pieces takes about 5 to 6 weeks total with courier shipping. Here’s the breakdown.

How fast you approve the sample. We make it in 5 to 7 working days and send it by express. After that, it’s on you. We’ve had clients confirm in two days. We’ve had others go three rounds of revisions over a month.
What We Manufacture
What can be customized?
Short answer: almost everything. Here’s what most clients customize, and what each choice means for cost and timeline.
Fabric
Weight and composition: 160gsm cotton jersey, 300gsm heavyweight fleece, polyester blends, whatever your product needs. We source from Guangzhou’s textile market, so the selection is massive. If you’re not sure what works for your product, tell us what you’re making and we’ll recommend options.

Labels and packaging
Woven main labels, printed care labels, hang tags, custom poly bags, tissue paper wraps. Everything your customer sees when they open the package can be branded. For DTC brands especially, this is the part that separates “bulk order from China” from “my brand, professionally packaged.”

Colors
Pantone-matched to your exact brand colors. We test on the actual production fabric, not a generic swatch card. This matters more than most people realize. A color that looks perfect on a swatch can shift noticeably on a different base cloth.

Logo and decoration
You can mix methods on the same garment. Plenty of our clients do an embroidered logo on the chest and screen-printed graphics on the back. Each method has different cost structures and visual results.

Pattern and construction
Cut-and-sew from your own pattern, or we develop one from scratch based on your reference images and fit requirements. Slim, regular, oversized, whatever the design calls for. Construction details like seam type, ribbing, gussets, and pocket placement are all adjustable. If you have a garment you like the fit of, send it over. We can work from that.

Sizing
Your own size chart, S to 5XL or whatever your market needs. We can work from your existing grading specs or build one from scratch based on your target fit. US, UK, Australian sizing standards, we’ve done them all.

Most of our clients don’t. You send us reference photos, tell us what you’re after, and we put together a spec sheet for you to confirm. We’ve done this hundreds of times.
