Most shirt fitting issues have nothing to do with the fabric. A collar that won’t sit flat, a placket that twists after washing, sleeves that ride up when the arms move forward. All of that traces back to the pattern. We check shoulder width, chest ease, armhole shape, sleeve pitch, collar stand, and body length before cutting the sample. Fixing these on paper costs nothing. Fixing them after 500 shirts are sewn costs the whole order.
Send your size chart and construction notes if you have them. A reference garment or product photos work too. Sampling normally takes 5 to 7 working days. We record every approved measurement, fabric, color, and construction detail so bulk production runs off the same spec.

Set the Shoulder and Collar First. Everything Else Follows.
On a woven shirt, a 1cm error on the shoulder point changes how the entire shirt hangs. Too narrow and the sleeve pulls. Too wide and the shoulder drops, making the whole shirt look a size too big.
We check shoulder slope, chest ease, armhole depth, sleeve pitch, cuff width, and hem shape against your size chart or reference shirt. The first sample is where all of this gets tested on a real body, not guessed on a flat table. Once approved, those measurements become the locked spec for production. Every piece in the order gets cut from the same pattern.

Pick the Weave for How the Shirt Will Actually Be Worn
Poplin is smooth, light, and wrinkles fast. Oxford has more texture and holds up better through repeated washing. Twill drapes heavier and hides wrinkles, which is why it works for work shirts that go all day without an iron. Chambray and linen blends breathe well in warm climates but shrinkage and care instructions need checking before you commit.
Tell us where the shirt will be sold, what season it’s for, how it should feel in hand, and your target price. We recommend a fabric direction, send a swatch for you to confirm, then use the approved sample as the production reference. If you already have a fabric in mind, send us the composition and weight. We can source it or suggest an equivalent from stock.

Keep the Branding Clean. A Shirt Is Not a Billboard.
What works on a polo or a hoodie can look wrong on a woven shirt. Thick embroidery puckers lightweight poplin. A large chest print sits oddly when the shirt is buttoned and the fabric folds around it. Woven shirts need smaller, flatter branding. Tone-on-tone embroidery, a simple woven label at the collar or hem, or a subtle print on the inside yoke. These read better and last longer through washes.
We review logo size, stitch method, thread or print color, neck label, and placement before sampling. During production QC, we check for crooked pockets, uneven plackets, and logo position drift across sizes. If something shifts when scaling from M to 3XL, we catch it before the garments ship.
